Congratulations to one of our October Agents to Watch, Juan Ramirez! Juan recently struck out on his own, embracing the challenge of establishing his own real estate business while still remaining 100% focused on his clients' needs and goals. He took the leap of faith, and we think so far he has been a smashing success! Keep reading to learn more about Juan!
What was the first thing you wrote on your to-do list for today?:
Check in on the current offers, send the agreement into escrow, and send all necessary emails to keep everyone updated.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?:
Focus on income-generating activities first — everything else will fall into place once your priorities are clear.
What is your favorite part about working in real estate in this part of the world?:
Helping people find their dream home in one of the most beautiful areas of California. I love that Sonoma and Napa counties offer such a mix — from quiet rural properties to vibrant downtown living — there’s something for everyone!
Tell us about a recent challenge you came upon and how you conquered it.:
Taking the leap of faith to go out on my own was a big challenge, but I embraced it, figured things out step by step, and built the systems I needed to succeed.
What role has mentorship played in your career?:
Mentorship has been HUGE! Learning from experienced agents gave me a strong foundation and the confidence to keep building and growing my business.
What's your favorite home design feature that you wish more homes had?:
Large, open-concept spaces with plenty of natural light and a great indoor-outdoor flow — they make the home feel inviting and truly the heart of the house.
If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?:
Many come to mind, but right now I’d choose Nipsey Hussle. His mindset about ownership, investing in the community, and building generational wealth really inspires me. I’d love to hear his perspective on entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for others.
Someone is coming to visit Sonoma/Mendocino/SF County. Where should they go first?:
Start in Sonoma Plaza to grab a coffee, explore the shops, and stop by a tasting room or two. Then head to Healdsburg for great food and drinks — it’s the perfect way to end the day.
What's something you're looking forward to in the upcoming year? (Wedding, vacation, new opportunity, etc.):
Helping more clients achieve their homeownership goals and continuing to grow my business — plus sneaking in a weekend getaway or two to recharge!
