We wouldn't be us if it weren't for all the hardworking staff behind the scenes who keep us running as a company. We do our best to celebrate these incredible individuals each day, and now we want to celebrate them with you, too!
We'd like to introduce you to our November Employee Spotlight, Niki Dayton. Niki is our incredible Ukiah & Lake County Office Admin, as well as a member of our Agent Support staff, and she is responsible for helping the agents who work out of her offices with everything from day-to-day tasks to marketing requests, and more! She plays a huge role in the daily life of our agents, and we are so excited for you to get to know her. Keep reading to learn more about Niki!
What does a typical day at W look like for you?:
To start the day, I'll open up the office and check to make sure the coffee and snacks are stocked. Then, I'll look at my emails to see what new tasks have come in and work on any ongoing projects. I'll assist anyone who walks in, answer the phone, and help agents with anything they might need.
What's your ideal day out in Sonoma/Napa/Mendocino/Lake County?:
That's a tough one because I feel like it changes with the seasons. During the summer, spending the day in the town of Mendocino shopping and heading to the beach, is always great. Another fun way to spend the day rain or shine is wine tasting in Boonville, there are a lot of great wineries out there. My ideal day just consists of time with family and having a good dinner. Good spots in Ukiah are Farola, Patrona & Left Coast.
If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?:
Gardening. In the past few years, I've learned to keep house plants alive but having a beautiful garden would be awesome.
What’s your go-to karaoke song? Or the song that always gets you out on the dancefloor?:
I've got friends in low places - Garth Brooks
You can only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?:
Chicken Piccata with mashed potatoes and some roasted veggies, a piece of chocolate cake, and a glass of red wine.
If you could live anywhere new in the world for a year, where would it be?:
A tropical beach - Hawaii or the Virgin Islands might be nice.
Tell us about something you're excited about this year!:
I'm very excited for my first niece to be born. 🙂
What's your favorite part about working at W?:
W has a fun work culture and good people. I'm super appreciative to have a job that I enjoy coming to every day!
