Gary Negri, REALTOR® with W Real Estate, became active in real estate in 2005 after retiring as a police captain with 30 years of service with the Santa Rosa Police Department.
He continues to be extremely active in the local community, having served on a number of committees and community-based organizations, including his service on both Chop’s Teen Club, Task Force on Homelessness and the Sonoma County Family Justice Center Executive Board.
Gary and his wife Kathy, who is a teacher in the Mark West School District, have lived in Santa Rosa since 1987. They have three adult sons, all of whom graduated from Cardinal Newman High School and Chico State University. Their family has always been active in community organizations, youth sports and education—Gary is a current member of the Young Men’s Institute and the Cardinal Newman Dad’s Club.
Gary earned a BA Degree from Chico State University and a teaching credential from University of California, Davis. Since 1987, he has been an instructor for the Santa Rosa Junior College Law Enforcement Training Center and is also an instructor in the areas of community policing, community relations, sexual harassment, cultural diversity, victimology and firearms.
Both he and Kathy enjoy traveling and spending time at their family retreats in Lake Tahoe and Lassen National Park. They love outdoor sports and spending time with their family, friends and of course, their two lovely granddaughters Stella and Lena, and their black and white cocker spaniel, Vinny.
