Whoever updated this place knew how people actually live. It's easy, it works, and it's flexible enough to bend around whatever your life looks like right now. Start with the kitchen, because that's where everyone ends up anyway. Breakfast bar, custom banquette, the kind of setup that makes you want to cook for people. Upstairs are three bedrooms and an updated bath with a deep soaking tub that just needs a weary soul and a good book. The lower level is where it gets fun. A big family room with polished concrete floors in an airy space. Office? Gym? Hangout? Your call. There's also a fourth bedroom, a second full bath, a wet bar, a laundry room, and a studio for whatever you make, fix or tinker with. French doors lead out to a patio and raised beds ready for your new garden. And you can't beat the location. Dimond Park and Pool are a block away, with Farmer Joe's and Peet's just down the hill. Head up the hill and you've got Sequoia Elementary, the nationally recognized Head Royce School, Joaquin Miller Park's trails and dog parks, and the Oakland Temple gardens, home to some of the best views in the Bay Area. Every spring the Oakland Greek Festival brings the whole neighborhood out to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Ascension for food, music and dancing.
